Description
Swiss Line Infantry 𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐘 "The Canaries" Line infantry - the backbone of every army and every campaign of a nation. Fighting in line formations of close proximity to their comrades, they are the main force used to achieve victory. These men pour volleys of musket-fire onto the enemy, and usually follow up with bayonet charges. The Neuchâtel Battalion was raised in 1807, by Chief of Staff, Maréchal Louis-Alexandre Berthier, after being awarded the Principality of Neuchâtel by Napoleon due to his services to France. Given elaborate uniforms of red and yellow coats, they performed exceptionally well, until the end of Napoleon's rule in 1814, fighting in battles such as Wagram, and Leipzig.
