Description
The County of Palmhurst was formally established in 1824 during the early territorial era of Vespera, when the region was administered by the Union of Amer following the end of Spanish rule. Palmhurst quickly became known for its dense mangrove wetlands, rich coastal fisheries, and the early trading posts that supported settlers along Florida’s southern frontier. During the 1926 South Vespera land boom and the economic crash that followed, the neighboring County of Harborview fell into severe financial distress. Although the downturn heavily affected the region and slowed development for years, Palmhurst County remained stable and continued to grow throughout the recovery period. Today, Palmhurst County is seated in the vibrant coastal town of Vespera Bay, serving as the cultural, administrative, and economic center of the region.
