| 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑅𝑜𝑦𝑎𝑙 𝐴𝑛𝑔𝑙𝑖𝑎𝑛 𝐴𝑟𝑚𝑦 | His Majesty's Royal Army is the primary land fighting force of Anglia and is responsible for maintaining its national interests and defending the Kingdom and its overseas territories. The Royal Army has a roughly 400 year history, reaching back to the Anglian Civil War, when the town militias of the Western Association of Counties, and the Northern Provincial Alliance united to restore the rule of King Sadris II. Many regiments are still named after the towns from which they were first mustered. Infantrymen are often idealized in Anglian histories and tales. Many stories tell of the bravery and camaraderie of Anglia's soldiers. In modern times, however, the military is viewed with skepticism. Anglia's involvement, and failure in the Pan-Vakarian War cost the country dearly.
