𝐊𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐈𝐑𝐎𝐒 ───────────── On the western coast of Rhodes lies Kamiros—quiet, ordered, and rooted in the discipline of land and labor, the most restrained of the three Rhodian poleis. Its life was measured in seasons, harvests, and the steady rhythms of local trade across the Aegean edge. Kamiros valued structure over spectacle: councils of leading citizens, modest sanctuaries, and a civic identity grounded in stability rather than expansion. When the pressures of the late 5th century BCE drew Rhodes toward synoikismos, Kamiros entered the emerging federation not as a dominant force, but as a stabilizing one—its order and discipline absorbed into the greater Rhodian state.
