Description
The 1er Régiment de Grenadiers à pied was a regiment among many of Napoleon's Imperial Guard. The regiment was made of men of Napoleon's Consular Guard which was assigned to him in 1799. Living quarters, salary, and meals were all greater than the other regiments in the Imperial Guard. The regiment had been disbanded in the year 1815, after a harsh defeat at Waterloo.
