The District of Columbia Fire And EMS is managing Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services for Washington D.C. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Fire Chief: Joint_Ventures EMS Chief: N/A | Not Applicable ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Recruitment: -> Fire Department: To join DCFD, you must attend Fire Academy and Graduate. You will then start off as a Probationary Firefighter for a minimum of one week and only then can you attend a training to rank up. -> Emergency Medical Service: To join DCEMS, you are required to attend DCEMS's Emergency Medical Schooling Academy and graduate.
