Description
𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐄 𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐊𝐄𝐍 House Bracken was one of the most prominent Riverlands houses to support the Blackfyre cause during the Blackfyre Rebellion. Fiercely proud and long-standing rivals of House Blackwood, the Brackens often aligned themselves with factions that promised greater influence and prestige. During the rebellion, they declared for Daemon Blackfyre against King Daeron II Targaryen, believing Daemon to be the stronger and more charismatic claimant to the Iron Throne. Their knights and cavalry were known for their aggressive battlefield tactics and unwavering loyalty to their chosen cause. The rebellion ultimately ended in defeat at the Battle of the Redgrass Field, where many Blackfyre supporters were slain or disgraced. Although House Bracken survived the conflict, their support for the losing side deepened political tensions in the Riverlands and further intensified their bitter feud with House Blackwood.
