Council of the City of Arcadia City of Arcadia • State of Tacoma Established: 1888 The Council of the City of Arcadia serves as the legislative branch of the City of Arcadia, capital of the State of Tacoma. Established in 1888, the Council is responsible for enacting local laws, approving budgets, and overseeing all matters related to city governance and public policy. Led by the Council Chair and Vice Chair, the Council represents the citizens of Arcadia through a structured legislative body composed of district and at-large councilmembers. Each member is committed to promoting transparency, accountability, and progress within city government. The Council works closely with the Office of the Mayor, City Manager’s Office, and all municipal departments to ensure efficient and effective governance across the capital.
