The Protective Operations Unit is an elite division within the British Columbia Sheriff Service, primarily being responsible for the protection and security of all government officials, properties and related entities. Our duties are unique compared to other agencies within the city, as no other agency has direct protective responsibilities. Agents are trained with strategies and tactics to safeguard and protect the most important government officials within the City of Vancouver.
