Description
Republic of Korea Army Special Warfare Command : 육군특수전사령부(陸軍特殊戰司令部) 6.25 당시에 대활약하였던 북파공작부대인 켈로부대를 모체로 하여 세워진 부대이며, 유사시 육·해·공의 다양한 루트로 적진에 깊숙히 침투하여 게릴라전, 수색·정찰, 요인암살 및 납치, 인질구출, 주요시설 폭파, 사보타지, 항폭유도, 병참선 교란, 민사심리전 등 각종 비정규전을 수행한다. 그리고 전시가 아닌 평시엔 한국 내부로 무장공비들이 침투했을 때 벌어지는 대간첩작전에서 주도적으로 적을 잡거나 소탕하는 임무도 수행한다.
