👑𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐂𝐑𝐎𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐀⚜️ The Independent State of Croatia (NDH, from the Croatian Nezavisna Država Hrvatska) was a state that existed in Southeast Europe from 1941 to 1945 during the Second World War. It was established following the invasion and partition of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia by Axis forces in April 1941 and encompassed most of present-day Croatia as well as all of modern-day Bosnia and Herzegovina. The period of the NDH was marked by wartime instability, armed conflict, and resistance movements, including engagements with Yugoslav Partisans and other groups throughout the region. The state ceased to exist in May 1945 with the defeat of the Axis powers in Europe, after which its territory became part of the re-established Yugoslavia.
