Description
The Eastern Roman Empire, also known as the Roman Empire, has existed as a sovereign state since the fall of Western Rome in 476. While experiencing both periods of decline and of growth over the centuries, the Roman State has held true to its values and traditions, and has repelled invasion after invasion from both the West and the East.
