Description
Sodium is a chemical element; it has symbol Na (from Neo-Latin natrium) and atomic number 11. It is a soft, silvery-white, highly reactive metal. Sodium is an alkali metal, being in group 1 of the periodic table. Its only stable isotope is 23Na. The free metal does not occur in nature and must be prepared from compounds. Sodium is the sixth most abundant element in the Earth's crust and exists in numerous minerals such as feldspars, sodalite, and halite (NaCl). Many salts of sodium are highly water-soluble: sodium ions have been leached by the action of water from the Earth's minerals over eons, and thus sodium and chlorine are the most common dissolved elements by weight in the oceans. 소듐(Na)은 원자번호 11번의 화학 원소로, 부드럽고 은백색이며 반응성이 매우 큰 알칼리 금속입니다. 안정한 동위원소는 ²³Na 하나뿐이며, 자연 상태에서는 자유 금속으로 존재하지 않고 화합물 형태로만 존재합니다. 지각에서 여섯 번째로 풍부하며 장석, 소달라이트, 할라이트(NaCl) 등 다양한 광물에 포함되어 있습니다. 소듐 화합물은 대부분 물에 잘 녹으며, 오랜 시간 동안 물에 의해 광물에서 용출되어 바닷물 속에 소듐과 염소가 가장 흔한 용존 원소가 되었습니다.
