Description
Royal regiments of Canada/Canadian Governor General’s Guard The Canadian Governor General’s Guard (CGG) is the premier ceremonial and protective regiment of the Army. CGG represents the highest standards of discipline, precision, and professionalism. As the public face of the Army, members are entrusted with ceremonial duties, base security, and official representation during national events. Our responsibilities include: • Ceremonial parades and guard mount • Honour guard formations • VIP escort and protective operations • Security of key military facilities • Representation at official Army events Selection into CGG is earned — not given. Members must demonstrate exceptional conduct, drill excellence, and unwavering discipline. We uphold the proud traditions of Canadian ceremonial service, inspired by units such as the Governor General’s Foot Guards. Only the most dedicated soldiers may wear the Guard insignia. Precision. Honour. Duty. 🇨🇦
