Description
Sir Thomas Fairfax's Regiment of Foote Formed from the Earls' Regiments. In service from 1645 at Naseby, Leicester, Langport, Bridgewater, & Bristol and the final year of the First English Civil War at Torrington, Oxford & Wallingford. After a refusal to disband during the 1647 Mutiny, the regiment would go on to serve during the Scottish Campaigns, the First Anglo-Dutch War, the dissolution of the Nominated Assembly and all the political factionalism in between before finally disbanding at Reading in 1660 with the restoration of the Monarchy.
