-------------------------------------------------------------------- The Science and Technology Advanced Research Laboratories, usually shortened to S.T.A.R. Labs, is a research organization who owns a nationwide chain of research laboratories that are not connected to the government or any business interests. Dr. Wells created S.T.A.R. Labs and developed a next-generation particle accelerator but soon after it was turned on, it became unstable, which caused the particle accelerator to explode and release a dark matter wave that not only destroyed a large fraction of the facility itself, but the blast wave also caused the deaths of many people and injured many more. S.T.A.R Labs is taking full responsibility for any incident caused by the particle accelerator. --------------------------------------------------------------------
