The National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, more simply called the National Assembly of Vietnam, is the highest legislative body in the Vietnamese political system, the highest representative body of the Vietnamese people, and the highest state power organ of the SRV. This body has the following main functions: Constitutional and legislative drafting. Decision-making on important national issues. Supreme oversight of state activities. Decision-making on the issue of war or peace. Decision-making on referendums. The current Chairman of the National Assembly is SeniorGovernment.
