Description
The Artemis Program is NASA’s human space exploration initiative dedicated to returning humans to the Moon and establishing a sustainable presence in lunar orbit and on the surface. We operate the Space Launch System (SLS) and Orion spacecraft to transport astronauts safely beyond low Earth orbit, and we coordinate operations through both Mission Control and the Astronaut Office. We manage crewed missions, train astronauts, oversee spacecraft systems, and maintain the lunar Gateway orbital platform. Our focus is on conducting lunar science, enabling long-duration operations in space, and developing the technologies and procedures that allow humans to live and work beyond Earth, forming the foundation for exploration of Mars and deep space.

Growth
Growth history is still building. We hold one measurement for this entry. A trend needs at least two, taken days apart — so this will fill in on its own rather than being estimated. We do not publish numbers we have not measured.
