Description
𝟐𝟖𝐓𝐇 𝐑𝐄𝐆𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐅𝐎𝐎𝐓 "𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙨" Formed in 1694, the 28th Regiment of Foot has had a long linage of acts of bravery and courage. Taking part in many battles and engagements. Of all of these, perhaps the most notable was their actions at the Battle of Alexandria in the British Egyptian campaign. In which French cavalry flanked around their back while the 28th Foot was engaged at the front. Thus, the command, "Rear Rank, 28th! Right About Face," was given. In these heroic moments the 28th Foot would manage to fend off both the front and rear foes, and henceforth have worn plating on the front and rear of their shako. Mentioned with admiration by the Duke of Wellington himself, this regiment fame and glory would only grow after the Napoleonic Wars. 𝐁𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐋𝐄 𝐇𝐎𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐒 - Egypt - Corunna - Talavera - Toulouse - Waterloo
