Umum Jandarma Kumandanlığı Gendarmerie Command ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Jandarma, 1909 yılında İkinci Meşrutiyet’le kurulan Harbiye Nezâretine bağlanmış ve adı Umum Jandarma Kumandanlığı olarak değiştirilmiştir. Ardından, Birinci Dünya Savaşı ve Kurtuluş Savaşı boyunca bir yandan önceki görevlerine devam etmiş diğer bir yandan da çoğu cephede ordunun bir parçası olarak ülke savunmasına katkı sağlamıştır. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Motto: "Effective, Deterrent, Credible."
