Description
The referess! There’s a fearsome gang who call themselves “the referees”. They dress all in black, and whenever they perform a hit (or as they call it, “a sending off”), they signal the job is done by blowing on a whistle, and holding up a red piece of card (symbolizing blood). If you annoy them they write your name in “the book” which is an enemies list and you don’t want to be in that book! You’ll know if you are in that book though, because when they write you up in it, their gang ritual is to show you a yellow piece of card (symbolizing cowardice) meaning “you’d better be afraid!”. Their motto is “do as we say is the fairest of play”, and if you’re unlucky enough to come across The Referees you’d best do what they say as you don’t want to be “sent off”!
