It is a spiritual, philosophical, and political doctrine that emphasizes the total surrender of individuality, personal desire, and ego in favor of unity with the state. According to this ideology, true enlightenment or transcendence can only be achieved through the annihilation of the self. This annihilation serves to perpetuate the eternal socialist struggle, whether symbolically through unwavering devotion and obedience, or literally through ritualized sacrifice in the name of the State.
