𝟏𝟐𝐓𝐇 𝐈𝐍𝐅𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐘 𝐑𝐄𝐆𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓, 𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐁𝐔𝐑𝐆 Raised on the 1st of July 1813, the 12th Line Regiment, Brandenburg was composed of battle-hardened soldiers recruited from Berlin. Part of Zeithen’s 1st Corps during the War of the Seventh Coalition, the 12th took heavy casualties at the Battle of Ligny. When marching to Wellington's aid at Waterloo, the 12 was part of the Vanguard, and thus one of the first Regiments to arrive on Wellington’s left flank. This allowed Wellington to better protect his centre from the assault of the Imperial Guard, by taking troops from his left. Disciplined and well-trained, the 12th is an inimitable Regiment, without equal. 𝐈𝐍𝐅𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐘
