국군은 국민의 군대로서 국가를 방위하고 자유민주주의를 수호하며 조국의 통일에 이바지함을 그 이념으로 한다. 국군은 대한민국의 자유와 독립을 보전하고 국토를 방위하며 국민의 생명과 재산을 보호하고 나아가 국제 평화유지에 이바지함을 그 사명으로 한다. 우리는 국가와 국민에 충성을 다하는 대한민국 육군이다. 하나, 우리는 자유민주주의를 수호하며 조국통일의 역군이 된다. 둘, 우리는 실전과 같은 훈련으로 지상전의 승리자가 된다. 셋, 우리는 법규를 준수하고 상관의 명령에 복종한다. 넷, 우리는 명예와 신의를 지키며 전우애로 굳게 단결한다. 군인정신은 전쟁의 승패를 좌우하는 필수적인 요소이다. 그러므로 군인은 명예를 존중하고 투철한 충성심, 진정한 용기, 필승의 신념, 임전무퇴의 기상과 죽음을 무릅쓰고 책임을 완수하는 숭고한 애국애족의 정신을 굳게 지녀야 한다. 국가권위에 대한 충성심의 표시이며 상관에 대한 자발적인 복종심과 부하에 대한 자애심의 발로인 동시에 상하상호간 그 직책과 직위에 대한 인식이며 또한 엄숙한 군기를 겉으로 드러낸 상징이다. 그러므로 경례는 항상 엄숙, 단정하게 실시 하여야 한다. 대통령 : 01_Leno
