⚔️ 𝐍𝐚𝐧𝐛𝐮 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐧 ⚔️ The Nanbu clan was a strong clan in the Tohoku region of Japan ruled by Nanbu Toshinao in Northern Mutsu province modern day Aomori and Iwate Prefecture during. its turbulent warring states period (Sengoku Jidai). They claimed descent from the Minamoto clan, the founders of the first Shogunate. During the 1580s the clan split. into many factions with the one being led by Nobunao coming out on top with him pledging his loyalty to Toyotomi Hideyoshi one of the great unifiers of Japan. During the Edo period after the end of the Sengoku Jidai Tokugawa Ieyasu granted the Nanbu a fief which they ruled until 1871 with the end of the Edo period and the beginning of the Meiji era. /7PuJYyeN6s
