"𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐑𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬" 🐎 The Equites Cohort of the Twentieth Valeria Victrix Legion served as the mounted arm of Rome’s twentieth legion. While the greater body of legionaries marched and fought on foot, these cavalrymen gave the legion swiftness and adaptability. In the rugged lands of Britain—where sudden strikes from native tribes demanded vigilance—the equites proved indispensable. They scouted the wild terrain, bore messages across great distances, and could charge into the fray at a moment’s notice.
