Description
The Numerus Speculatorum of the Legio XXI Rapax served as the legion's elite reconnaissance and special operations detachment, drawn from the finest soldiers of the Second Cohort. Trained in scouting, infiltration, intelligence gathering, and precision strikes, its members excelled in operating ahead of the main force or undertaking missions too dangerous for conventional troops. Though small in number, the Numerus Speculatorum earned a formidable reputation for discipline, adaptability, and decisive combat skill, acting as the hidden spearpoint of the Twenty-First Rapax whenever speed, stealth, and exceptional martial prowess were required.
