The Kyogoku Clan | 京極氏 #8134753
Description
The Kyogoku Clan of Omi - The Kyogoku are a Japanese clan of the Sengoku and Edo periods of Japan. From Emperor Uda, they trace their ties back to the Minamoto and Sasaki clans. During the Heian period, the Kyogoku's name is derived from a city quarter named Kyogoku in Kyoto. Before the Onin War, the Kyogoku sat over Omi, Hida, Izumo and Oki Province as Shugo (governors). - We, as a clan, function with the highest level of discipline and respect. Perfection of the clan must be achieved through not only physical skill, but also mental discipline. There is no room for error with words, or with a blade. Realism and moderate accuracy is key to forging our reputation. For the Pride of Kyogoku!
