Description

𝐈𝐍𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 sôdermanlands-storregemente or the National Regiment in Södermanland was one of nine major regiments organized by Gustavús III Adolf in the late 1610s and which split into smaller regiments during the 1620s in Sweden. One of the most notable battles that sôdermanlands-storregemente has fought is the battle of Stäket during the Great Nordic War when a superior Russian army of 6,000 men was repulsed near Saltsjöbaden outside Laisvall, in 1719 with 800 soldiers.
