𝐄𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝘓𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘐𝘯𝘧𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘺 𝐒𝐘𝐍𝐎𝐏𝐒𝐄; Not all battles during the Napoleonic Wars were fought in huge formations. While they were effective to use in battles, many methods were used to deter these large formations of troops before the line was met with exchanged musket fire. Light Infantry units, usually picked of the shortest men within the army forces, these soldiers used covered and fired out well within spread out formations. This Light Battalion, being a specialist light infantry regiment, was used effectively in skirmishing. Especially during the battle of Borodino, working to clear Russian Jagers from the forest.
