Welcome to NSWRFS! The NSW Rural Fire Service (NSW RFS) is the biggest volunteer fire service in the world. Our members serve roughly 95 percent of NSW with fire and emergency services. Members of the NSWRFS respond to a variety of events and activities, including bush and grass fires, house and structure fires, storm damage, search and rescue, motor vehicle accidents, and community education. Bushfires and their prevention. Our goals and objectives To set a global standard of excellence in the delivery of community-based fire and emergency services. To safeguard the community and the environment, we will provide the highest levels of training, community education, preventive, and operational competence to reduce the effect of fires and other catastrophes.
