TIMELINE: 1860-1871 [Victorian] CONFLICT: - American Civil War - Indian Wars - Korean Expedition WAR THEATERS: [WoC] "In God we trust!" The storm begins, on April 13, 1861, and the Battle of Fort Sumter concluded with a Confederate victory, thus beginning the American Civil War. Muster and draft papers raise volunteer armies while old veterans join the fight to turn the tides of war on all theatres East and West. Whilst the Indian Wars rage on in the American Frontiers. In 1871 US marines did an expedition to Korea, to they open trade with them like in Japan. The USMC were formed in 1775 in the American Revolutionary war with 2 battalions, it was named Continental Marines. In 1798 it was renamed to today's form as United States Marine Corps. The Marine corps has been part of the US Department of the Navy. In the Civil war their task was mostly to blockade and also guard the southern ports. The USMC also guarded and conquered New Orleans.
