Description

𝟏𝟓𝟏𝟕-𝟏𝟓𝟐𝟖 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐨 𝐃𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢 Ludovico of Giovanni from Forlì, or Giovanni of Forlì for short, was the commander of one of the most reknowned companies of condottieri, the "Black Bands", in rememberance to the cousin of his father, Pontifex Leo X which by mourn included black bands in his battle insignia. His company would serve under the armies of Charles V of Germany as well as Francis of France with great endeavor until his death from gangrene in 1526. Being often said that with his death the age of the condottieri came to an end.
