STRAŻ TRABANCKA JEGO KRÓLEWSKIEY MOŚCI Trabanci czyli straż przyboczna króla, broniąca swym orężem życia Jego Królewskiey Mości, była w Polszcze woyskiem mało znanem. Jedynie cudzoziemce Angielskie wymieniają jako przy Królu Sobieskim w Krakowie żołnierzy w kapeluszach i płaszczach niebieskich, z monogramem Królewskiem. Zaciągani byli głównie z cudzoziemców. Stanowili rolę bardziej reprezentacyjną niż woyskową, acz kiedy potrzeba nastała, sprawnie bronią robić potrafili. Wcześniey, na Rolce Sztokholmskiej, widać narysowanych Polskich Trabantów, maszerujących przy królu - osoby której majestat zmusza ich do maszerowania bez kapeluszy wedle obyczaju.
