'Body dysmorphic disorder (BDD), or body dysmorphia, is a mental health condition where a person spends a lot of time worrying about flaws in their appearance. These flaws are often unnoticeable to others. People of any age can have BDD, but it's most common in teenagers and young adults. It affects both men and women. Having BDD does not mean you're vain or self-obsessed. It can be very upsetting and have a big impact on your life.' - National Health Service, Website. I created this group with the purpose of advocating support for an incredibly evident mental health condition inundating the youth of contemporary society. This is a support group, to offer stress alleviation and provide clarity to those who are not aware of what BDD is exactly. I ask only for those whom elect to join this group; to treat others in a fundamentally respectful manner. Thank you for joining. Currently in process of developing a hangout for members to utilize and meet others similar to themselves!
