𝟑𝟒𝟓𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐀𝐢𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐭 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐬 The 345th Independent Guards Airborne Regiment was founded in 1944, in the Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republic. The regiment fought in a great many engagements, including the Vienna Offensive of WWII, Operation Storm-333, and the Battle f∅r hill 3234. The latter two being engagements in the Soviet-Afghan War. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the Regiment would continue to serve as part of the Russian Armed Forces, subsequently being named the 50th Military Base and then the 10th Peacekeeping Airborne Regiment.
