Description
The Nebelreich stands as a brooding, insular successor state that violently tore itself from Germany in the chaotic summer of 1940. Amid the early winnings in the West, a coalition of high-ranking Army officers, disillusioned secret service factions, and industrial barons—unwilling to accept Berlin's increasingly erratic strategic decisions and ideological excesses—staged a swift, bloody coup in a cluster of fog-shrouded industrial regions straddling what was once western Germany and parts of the Low Countries. Declaring independence under the banner of a purified, disciplined militarism, they crowned their leader Kaiser Klaus Halcugenen. Formerly a prominent field marshal who took the imperial title to evoke both unity and loyalty.
