In honor of Valentine's Day, here is a short story on how this day was formed: Valentine's Day is named after Saint Valentine who was sent to jail because of performing wed d ing s in God's honor. When he was in jail, Saint Valentine really liked a jailer's daughter. On the day of his execution, he sent a love letter to that same daughter and signed it "From your Valentine". That's when the name "Valentine" was formed. We celebrate Valentine's Day on the same day Saint Valentine was executed. Fun Fact: Valentine's Day started with Pope Saint G. (name is tagged) who named it after Saint Valentine.
