On October 28, 1963, the “State Troopers Fraternal Association of New Jersey” was incorporated under the provisions of Title 15 of the Revised Statutes of 1937 (The Corporations and Associations Not for Profit Act). The purpose of this corporation is “To improve the working conditions of the Members of the New Jersey State Police; to increase the promotional opportunities of the members of the New Jersey State Police based on merit and seniority, along with an equitable promotional system; to raise the salaries of the members of the New Jersey State Police to adequate standards; To provide an orderly procedure ### ### ####### ##### and mutually satisfactory handing of grievances with respect to any member of the New Jersey State Police; to dedicate its membership to the proper maintenance of law and order, to the protection of life and property and to the strengthening of the democratic principles in which we all believe throughout The State of New Jersey; to boost the morale.
