2. Leichtes-Infanterie Regiment "von Sahr" ───────────────────────────── Senseless thunderbolt. 𝐁𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐦 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐦𝐞𝐧. 2. Leichtes-Infanterie Regiment "von Sahr" (Light Infantry) was a light infantry regiment, that was initially one of two battalions in 1808 before being expanded in the Military reform of 1810 into a full regiment of 1,652 men. After the failure of Napoleon's invasion in 1812 the regiment had been reduced back to one battalion. Not much is known about the light infantry, except that they were an effective skirmishing force that utilized their territory and surroundings to its upmost advantage and potential and has been credited with taking down many Russians during the patriotic war of 1812.
