The Two Sicilies, originally ruled by the House of Bourbon-Two-Sicilies, shifted from neutrality to French control in Naples and Coalition in Sicily during the Napoleonic era. After Napoleon's defeat in 1815, Naples was restored to its previous ruler at the Congress of Vienna in 1815, returning to its pre-war status but retaining some administrative changes introduced during French rule.
