Description
[Loosely based on the actual Kaitsepolitseiamet] Internal Security Service, "Kaitsepolitsei (Каiтсэпоитсэi)," officially, "Kaitsepolitseiamet (Каiтсэпоитсэiамэт)," KaPo (КаПо) for short. A central national security spetsnaz gendarmerie-like paramilitary force of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Primary jurisdiction over offences by state officials; countering terror; degeneracy; crimes against humanity and peace, including war crimes; illegal handling and trafficking of firearms, ammunition, explosives, radioactive material or other strategic materials; and the protection of state secrets alongside counterintelligence duties. While many of the Internal Security Service's activities are classified, its overview of the status of national security is published annually. "Enforcing constitutional order."
