Description
During the Seven Years’ War the Gardes du Corps du Roi served as both a symbol of royal authority and an active combat reserve for the French army. Though their primary duty was the personal protection of the King. Their discipline, training, and social prestige made them a respected component of the French battle line. They fought notably in the German campaigns, where France faced off against Prussia and its allies, including actions at Hastenbeck and Krefeld. Noble soldiers of the Garde du Corps, you fight in the name of the King, and defend the honor of France herself. Jusqu’à la mort! Vive le Roi!
