Description
The Navy's Bureau of Medicine and Surgery [BUMED] is a federal agency under the Department of the Navy, aligned to the services of the Allied Defense Health. BUMED operates hospitals, biomedical research laboratories, and other healthcare facilities such as clinics. BUMED trains active duty sailors to manage public and defense health to the Marine Corps, Navy personnel, and the American civilian public. BUMED also deploys it's personnel on humanitarian missions in Eurasia, South America, and Africa. (Pacific-Atlantic) -Hospital Corpsmen: Hospital Corpsmen are detached to fleet carrier, or ship forces to provide aid to members aboard & abroad. -Hospital Nurse Corps: The Nurse Corps provide patient-oriented level care in our facilities. -Physician: Navy Physicians, or Doctors (DO, or MD) will provide administrative, patient, and or surgical care to servicemembers, and civilians in a hospitalist setting.
