21. Russian Volunteer Guard's was an special brigade during Yugoslav wars 1990-1999. Their priority was to train new Serb forces, keep civilians safe against air raids etc. The Guard had their camps around Banja Luka and it was famous by their tanks that was a big support to Serb forces.
