YASNY COMPANY KOMPANIYA YASNYY ЯСНАЯ КОМПАНИЯ Yasny Company is a rogue Soviet company, finding its roots within the 5th Independent Special Forces Unit (today the 5th Spetsnaz Brigade). Having fought in the Soviet-Afghan war, the company suffered from the humiliation of the Soviets as a result of the war. Once word of the surrender reached the force, Senior Lieutenant Klava Vlasova rallied her men and ordered an organised desertion - with a majority of the company disappearing overnight as the rest of the Soviet forces withdrew from Afghanistan. Today, the military force remains an independent organisation, having adopted the name 'Yasny Company' after their leader's home town, exploiting the instability of middle eastern nations to maintain its existence. While considered by some to be a 'mafia' group, Yasny is more of a paramilitary organisation, working for whoever requests them - for the right price. They remain largely self-sufficient. Set in the mid to late 1990s.
