Duchy of Schleswig and Holstein __________________________________ Year: 1952 Capital: Kiel Government: Duchy Currency: Kielsmark Affiliation: N/A __________________________________ After the Second Schleswig War of 1864, the then Kingdom of Prussia Established Schleswig and Holstein as a buffer zone between Denmark and Prussia. The Buffer Zone would once again be invaded as well as Denmark during the Six Hour War. At the end of the war, before it could be annexed by the allied powers, The Duke of Schleswig and Holstein launched a coup d'état on the occupational Government. After the Success of the Coup Schleswig and Holstein continued to maintain its status as a buffer zone. However, with the advent of the Cold War Denmark and the DDR, a Soviet Proxy-State began eyeing up the border. The Hasty Mobilization of the Army lead to the use of old Weapons and Gear, in Desperate Defense of the Duchy.
