Description
𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐄 𝐁𝐋𝐀𝐂𝐊𝐅𝐘𝐑𝐄 House Blackfyre was founded by Daemon Blackfyre, the newly legitimized son of King Aegon IV Targaryen, after receiving the ancestral Valyrian steel sword Blackfyre itself. To many across Westeros, the sword symbolized kingship, and Daemon’s supporters believed Aegon intended him to rule over his trueborn brother, Daeron II. Charismatic, skilled in battle, and beloved by many knights, Daemon gathered a massive following among discontented lords throughout the Reach and Riverlands. Beneath the black dragon banner, House Blackfyre declared its claim to the Iron Throne and plunged the realm into civil war. Though Daemon fell at the Redgrass Field alongside his sons, the Blackfyre line escaped into exile and continued to challenge the Targaryens for generations. Their rebellion became one of the bloodiest and most defining conflicts in Westerosi history.
