Here's the "good" test (be brutally honest): How many lies have you told in your life? Ever stolen anything (regardless of its value)? Ever used God's name in vain? If you have done these things, God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemer at heart, and the Bible warns that one day He will punish you in a terrible place called Hell. But He is not willing that any should perish. Sinners broke God's Law and Christ paid their fine by suffering and dying on a cross. This means He can legally dismiss their case (John 3:16) Then Christ rose from the dead, defeating death. Hundreds saw Him after His resurrection; it's no fairy tale.
