Her Majesty's 9th Moragisle Highland Light Infantry Regiment ======================================== Era: 1890 ======================================== Drawing recruits from the glens and moors of Moragisle in the deepest highlands of Scotland, the 9th Moragisles have a reputation and history in the British Army that borders on the mythical. The Moragisle-MacTubas were one of the few clans to side with King Charles in the Civil War, and were rewarded with a Royal Commission to form a regiment. It is still commanded by the Strathspey family, who were sent to control the regiment by the King. They later served in Gibraltar, Salamanca, Waterloo, Kirbekan, and Egypt, onto their current posting in Southern Sudan.
